Slovenia is a country that tells a green story. Here you will find ancient forests, crystal clear waters, wild nature, and exceptional biodiversity.
Slovenia is the only country that unites the Alps, the Mediterranean, the Karst and the Pannonian plain. 

Almost 60% of the surface of Slovenia is covered by forest. The city centres are only a few steps away from the green nature. The varied landscape offers a wide range of outdoor activities in summer or in winter and allows you to savour authentic local cuisine that is different in each region.

Slovenia is the first country in the world to be awarded the title of Global Green Destination in 2016. Its intact green nature encourages us to responsible behaviour and protection. Slovenia is also considered one of the safest countries in the world.  

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a picturesque blend of history, culture, and modern vibrancy. With its charming Old Town, cobbled streets, and the emerald-green Ljubljanica River winding through the city, it makes for an idealic backdrop for any MICE trip. Overlooking all is Ljubljana Castle, a medieval fortress offering breathtaking panoramic views. 

Despite its rich history, Ljubljana is a young and dynamic city, home to Slovenia's largest university and a thriving arts scene. The city strongly embraces sustainability which is displayed through its car-free centre, lush parks, and riverside cafés; the ambience is certainly relaxed and inviting.

Bear On the Beach or shortly BOB, is a DMC, that offers its services in Slovenia and Croatia in Central Europe. Its name was inspired by special and unique characteristics of both destinations, but we also wanted to make it fun and easy to remember.

Barbara started her career in marketing and market research, but changed after living abroad where she started to promote her country as a tourist destination. Slovene national, having lived in London Uk and Paris France in the past, Barbara joined her love for travelling also with voluntary work in Western Africa.

Based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Barbara has been working in MICE industry for over 10 years, specialising in organisation of incentive travel and seminars in Slovenia and Croatia. Joined Bear On the Beach at its creation in 2021.
