Based in Argentina, Merina Begg has been in the travel business for over 30 years. Since her father founded a travel agency in Buenos Aires over 60 years ago, she has been an enthusiastic and dedicated travel-lover, accumulating extensive knowledge in organizing unique travel experiences through her work in both Argentina and the UK.
After working for a specialist tour operator in London concentrating on the Caribbean and Far East, she joined a leading tour operator with a focus on Africa and the Indian Ocean before developing their South America program, which became extremely successful.
Merina later founded a travel representation in the UK specializing in Latin America, which has recently celebrated its 30th anniversary. In 1992 she returned to Argentina to join the travel company owned by her family. In 2006, with a group of experienced and creative industry professionals she set up her own independent destination management company: ATP DMC.
